Mini Canvases
Topic:
Create the perfect seasonal gift of mini canvases to be displayed on a miniature easel. Participants will explore a variety of techniques. Materials $5.
Summary:
Create the perfect seasonal gift (Motherís Day, Valentineís Day, Fatherís Day, etc.) of mini canvases to be displayed on a miniature easel. These little pieces of art are perfect for poetry, inspirational quotes and cross curricular celebrations. Participants will explore a variety of techniques (stenciling, molding paste and collage) while making little canvas to be displayed on the miniature easel. Easels are simple to display year-round while changing canvases with the seasons. Participants will design and make up to 3 canvases depending on the workshop length. Material fee: $5 Includes easel, canvases, and all art supplies
Biography:
Heather and Elissa Willms are a mother/daughter design team from Lethbridge, Alberta. The pair has published a total of 6 quilting books and over 45 patterns. Heather is a public school teacher and Elissa is a surface pattern designer. They have a passion for introducing children to the world of art.
